Rotary Club of the Bronx to Sponsor a Flags for Heroes Display
For the Flags for Heroes project, the Rotary Club of the Bronx will plant a pole mounted flag at the Catherine Scott Promenade Park on City Island, NY. The flags will be on display at least from June 14-June 19, 2024. Each flag is sponsored in honor of someone's hero. A hero can be anyone that has made an impact on your life: a mom, dad, military personnel, first responder, mentor, friend, teacher and more. A medallion hung from each flag will have the honoree's name, why they are being honored, and the sponsor's name. At the end of the display, the sponsors will get their medallions back as keepsakes. The cost is $75 per flag unless you bought a flag last year. In that case, it is $60 per flag. More information can be obtained from Sandy Wolstein at sewolstein@optonline.net.
